What We Believe : The Bible
In UFBL, the Bible is the primary textbook for life. Therefore, our churches and centers base their messages on the Bible. In our churches and centers one can gain an historical and a critical analysis of the old and new testaments, as well as a metaphysical and allegorical interpretation of the text. Metaphysical or allegorical interpretation allows us to cut away the realm of magic and superstition and find principles of personal transformation that will enable us to practice the Truth principles that we espouse. Mr. Charles Fillmore whose teachings we espouse talked about the Bible in an uplifting and soul invigorating way. From this allegorical interpretation we are able to see the Bible as the history of humankind tracing our generation, degeneration and regeneration. It tells how we came out of God with a divine estate, forgot our origin, suffered limitation, even death, and how our divine memory is reawakened and quickened so that we may regain our freedom and reclaim our divine birthright.
“The Bible is, in its inner or spiritual meaning, a record of the experiences and development of the human soul and of the whole being of man; also, it is a treatise on man’s relation to God, the Creator and Father.” -Charles Fillmore
Bible classes are offered at UFBL centers and study groups and online in our Master Certificate Program. Students will learn the analytical approach to the scriptures and then the metaphysical interpretation and how to view the scriptures from the enlighten stance.
